Description
This kit composition consists of the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III system camera and the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 12-40 mm F/2.8 M.Zuiko Digital Pro.
The Olympus OM-D E M1 Mark III system camera is extremely compact and lightweight. The camera offers surprising mobility, but also quality. Therefore, this is an excellent camera for anyone travelling a lot and who likes to go on adventures with their camera.
High-quality image
With this system camera, you can record everything in amazing detail in whatever situation you may find yourself in. The 20.4 megapixel Live MOS-sensor ensures prolific gradations. The 5-axis IS image stabilisation in the case accordingly ensures minimal noise and distortion. Even with high-sensibility settings. Combine this with the TruePic IX-image processor, and you have unprecedented acutance. Hence, it is even possible to make RAW and JPG images with an extra-high resolution. You shoot by hand up to 50 megapixels and on a tripod up to around 80 megapixels.
Very accurate focus
Thanks to the 21 points complete cross-type on-chip phase detection, you maintain your focus across the entire screen. The advanced AF algorithm also makes it possible to record fast-moving subjects with a high degree of precision. It is able to detect even the smallest faces and eyes. Hence, you can maintain stable focus on your subject
You also maintain focus very easily and quickly manually. With the multisector, move the focus range without distancing yourself from the viewfinder.
Versatile recording functions
The OM-D E-M1 Mark III has even more recording functions, making your images even better. Hence, you have the Starry Sky AF function with which you can focus on the smallest stars and the nighttime sky. Through internal stabilisation, this can even be done with a wide-angle lens from your hand. The Pro capture mode ensures you record everything in a fraction of a second. Ideal in unforeseeable situations, such as in the case of moving persons and animals. Press the shutter halfway and the photo series will start. With the Live Composite, or B mode, you record wonderful light traces. Would you like to work with a slow shutter speed? You can do that. The camera also has an inbuilt Live ND function. Because of this you do not need individual ND filters.
Cinema 4K video productions
Besides photos, you also make excellent 4K/C4K video productions with the camera. The built-in log records contain the details of shadows and highlights which makes these easy to adapt. Accordingly, you still have a LS-P4 linear PCM recorder that ensures a clearer and unambiguous sound. Moreover, it is even possible to adapt the direction of the microphone and zoom onto the sound source.
So, head out with this versatile system camera and record your most beautiful adventurous moments.
The Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40 mm f/2.8 PRO Lens is a wide-angle to a portrait-length zoom lens that is compatible with the Micro Four Thirds system. The 12-40 mm focal length provides a 35 mm equivalent field of view of 24-80 mm and the constant f/2.8 aperture ensures consistent low-light performance and shallow depth of field control throughout the zoom range. The constant f2.8 aperture at all focal lengths, combined with other advanced technologies including MSC and a 'Manual Focus Clutch' mechanism, opens up great possibilities for the widest range of photographic styles, regardless of distance and lighting conditions.
The lens construction integrates aspherical ED (extra-low dispersion) elements, a DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) element, an HD element, and two HR (high refractive index) elements. This provides a comprehensive reduction in chromatic aberrations and distortions. In addition, this construction ensures high image sharpness, clarity and colour fidelity. The compact and lightweight design features a dust- and splash-proof construction that allows professional use in a variety of conditions.
