The 20-megapixel Live MOS sensor and TruePic IX processor ensure sharp, clear images. Thanks to the 5-axis image stabilisation, you won't suffer from motion blur and you can shoot effortlessly from the hand. No less than 6.5 EV stops of exposure compensation ensure that you can also work with longer shutter speeds. Focusing is fast thanks to face and eye recognition. For fast-moving subjects, not only does the 5-axis stabilisation come in handy, but also the Pro Capture function, which allows you to capture images from before the moment you fully press the shutter. Shoot in S-AF at up to 30 fps, and with C-AF at up to 10 fps.

The new CP button gives you quick access to the OM-5 II's most advanced features. High Res Shot mode makes every photo razor sharp and rich in detail. Shoot handheld photos up to 50 megapixels RAW, or even 80 megapixels RAW with a tripod. Thanks to in-camera focus stacking, every part of the photo is equally sharp; perfect for macro photography! You can also use the HDR function, which combines multiple exposures into one evenly bright photo. Especially for outdoor use, the camera has many features that make shooting easy and fast. In sunny weather, use the built-in ND filters. At night, use Live Composite, Night Vision or Starry Sky AF for shooting in low to no light. Videographers can film in 4K resolution at 30 fps. Use OM-Log400 for improved dynamic range – ideal for those who like to edit colours extensively in post-production. The new OM-Cinema 1 and 2 colour profiles give your images a distinctive look.
