The AW-UE50 has a compact design to fit into the environment and operates very quietly for flexible use in all locations and conditions for video recording. The AW-UE50/UE40 offers high security and is easy to set up and operate for stable video recording, so even people unfamiliar with video recording or camera operation can use it. The product's excellent flexibility simplifies connection and operation. Connection to online conferencing software or online application is possible, making online video streaming easy to start. The AW-UE50 is a standard model that is perfect for those who want to use online video streaming more frequently or improve the quality of online video streaming.

The AW-UE50 also offers PoE+ support for camera power, control and video transmission over a single cable. The AW-UE50 features Panasonic's proprietary technology-based direct drive system for quiet and smooth vertical and horizontal movements, with a lower operating noise of NC25 or lower. Direct drive also offers more options for PTZ control, including faster, precise movements with higher accuracy in preset positioning - making this Panasonic's fastest, quietest and most accurate PTZ to date.
When using the PTZ Virtual USB driver and with a LAN connection, it is possible to obtain video and audio from the AW-UE50 in the same way as a USB camera. The AW-UE50 is also equipped with Privacy Mode, where the lens is rotated backwards in standby.
The AW-UE50 features a new 1/2.5-type 4K MOS sensor that produces stunning UHD video with a true 4K resolution of 1500 TV lines in UHD. The AW-UE50 supports 3G SDI, HDMI and IP, making it an ideal option for use within existing HD or 4K workflows thanks to its simultaneous video output feature.
The AW-UE50 introduces a new wide-angle lens with a 74.1° field of view and 24x optical zoom, allowing a large area to be recorded from a limited installation space while maintaining high image quality even at high zoom ratios. This allows recording in large indoor spaces. Intelligent zoom further extends its capabilities to 28x in UHD and 36x in Full-HD.
The camera also features Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) to ensure smooth pan-tilt movement in crowded or moving environments or when placed on, for example, a robotic system.
The AW-UE50 has a new powerful chipset platform, allowing the PTZ to be incredibly responsive and perform more video processing tasks for higher image quality and lower latency.
The AW-UE50 supports up to 4K 25p/30p video at 3840 x 2160 for professional and high-quality motion image capture, as well as a wide range of output interfaces such as 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP - which can be activated simultaneously for HD and 4K workflows. USB* is also supported.
A wide range of IP transmission protocols is also available. Secure Reliable Transport (SRT (Secure Reliable Transport)) is supported by default to maintain stability while transmitting high-quality video even under unstable network conditions. SRT enables video distribution over public internet in a secure and reliable manner, as it provides encryption and lost packets are automatically detected and retransmitted.
The AW-UE50 also supports the highly efficient NDIHX (NDI|HX with high efficiency and low bandwidth) low-bandwidth version 2, which is available via an optional paid upgrade. This enables low-bitrate video transmission over a single LAN cable.
