Panasonic MFT 12-32 mm F / 3.5-5.6

The Panasonic MFT 12-32 mm F/3.5-5.6 black Lumix G Vario offers excellent image quality, and it is unbelievably compact. It is also extendable, despite the versatile 12-32 mm focal length (comparable with 24-64 mm for a 35 mm camera). With a wide-angle measuring from 24 mm, this lens is suitable for a wide range of shots, from dynamic landscapes to snapshots. The new lens system, consisting of 8 elements in 7 groups, uses three aspherical lenses. The result of this has been a considerable reduction of the overall length without compromising optical quality. The ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens minimalises chromatic aberrations in the corners across the entire zoom range. In order to make such a small lens, every element had to be as thin as possible and had to be positioned as close as possible. Two lens groups also serve as an O.I.S (optical image stabiliser) by shifting relative to each other. This is the first time this technology has been used for a digitally interchangeable lens in the LUMIX G series. Electricity is required to move the two lens groups. This is produced by a specially developed drive motor.

The Mega O.I.S. (optical image stabiliser) from Panasonic ensures you will take only the very sharpest photos, even if you're shooting from a telephoto position or in poor light conditions. The image stabiliser primarily rectifies blurriness caused by shaky hands. The 12-32 mm F/3.5-5.6 comes with an internal focus system and a step motor. This makes the fast and highly accurate Contrast AF system very quiet when taking both photos and video. The lens is also compatible with the sensor drive at a maximum of 240fps in order to make optimal use of the camera's ultra-fast AF system, like the DMC-GM1.
