The Phase Hybrid autofocus ensures that subjects are tracked quickly and accurately. The special AI tracking technology effortlessly recognises eyes, people, animals and vehicles, allowing you to quickly take razor-sharp photos and record smooth videos. The Panasonic Lumix S1RM2E  features 5-axis internal stabilisation with 8.0 stops of compensation, Dual I.S. with 7 stops of compensation in telephoto mode, plus additional electronic stabilisation for video.

Finally, the Panasonic Lumix S1RM2E offers convenient controls for the most efficient workflow possible. The body is dust- and splash-resistant and can also be used in freezing temperatures. The display can both swivel and tilt and is operated via the touchscreen or the small joystick. The dual card slot supports both an SD card and a CFexpress card. All this in a relatively compact design weighing 795 grams.

The lens features fast and accurate autofocus and Dual I.S. image stabilisation, allowing you to use it in many different situations. The Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS, which is made for the L-mount system, has an advanced optical construction with 17 lens elements in 11 groups. One UED lens (Ultra Extra-low Dispersion), two ED lenses (Extra-low Dispersion) and one UHR lens (Ultra-High Refractive Index) reduce both axial chromatic aberration in the telephoto position and chromatic aberration in the wide-angle position. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.54m, this lens achieves a maximum magnification of 0.5x, allowing you to create macro photos and videos at up to 50% of life size. In addition, the 11-blade aperture creates beautiful, round bokeh.

The Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS is also suitable for video recording thanks to a mechanism that minimises focus breathing and suppresses focus shift during zooming. This keeps your subject sharp in the frame at all times. Despite its large range, it is still compact and lightweight, as well as resistant to dust, splashes and temperatures down to 10 degrees below zero. The front element has a fluorine coating that repels water and dust, and the filter diameter is 77mm.
