The Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 II is an addition to the popular LUMIX S series. The mirrorless camera delivers incredible photo and video performance in an attractive, compact design. The S5 II features a 24-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor that lets in plenty of light and ensures razor-sharp images. The sensor, combined with the advanced image processor, delivers outstanding image quality for both photo and video recording.

Reliable autofocus and stabilisation

The renewed image sensor supports hybrid phase-detection autofocus for the first time in the LUMIX line-up. The hybrid autofocus system combines phase detection with contrast detection for fast and reliable focusing. The new system can easily recognise subjects, even in challenging conditions such as low light. Once focus is locked, it continues to track the subject across the screen. Continuous autofocus is also available when zooming in, as are AF micro adjustments.

The LUMIX S5 II has significantly improved image stabilisation, so you can also capture stable, powerful shots handheld. Active image stabilisation is very useful in challenging conditions, such as when using a telephoto lens or filming while walking. Active image stabilisation also ensures highly stable videos by optimising horizontal, vertical and rotational correction.

Exceptional video performance

The mirrorless camera offers exceptional video performance comparable to the LUMIX S1H. You can film in 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) at 30fps, and in 4:2:2 C4K/4K at 60fps. You can easily record in High Frame Rate at up to 120 fps and in slow motion at up to 180fps. You can use various colour profiles such as 14+ stop V-Log and V-Gamut. Support for a REAL TIME LUT function allows you to upload colour correction LUTs to an SD card and apply them directly in the camera instead of during post-production. For professional videographers, functions such as Waveform Monitor, Vector Scope and Zebra Pattern have been added. Features such as System Frequency (24.00Hz) and Synchro Scan also make this camera suitable for professional use.

Excellent photos with minimal workflow

The camera has various options that allow you to create excellent photos with a minimal workflow. Functions such as AWB lock, MF assist and a new Live Crop function ensure a highly refined photography experience. An HDMI type-A and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection provide extensive connectivity options. Thanks to WiFi 5GHz, you can also connect quickly and reliably to smartphones and tablets wirelessly. Dual UHS-II memory card slots ensure you always have enough space.

The Panasonic LUMIX S 100-500mm is a powerful super-telephoto zoom lens that is ideal for nature photography, sport and landscapes. With a versatile focal length of 100 to 500mm and support for teleconverters up to 1000mm, you can capture every detail in razor-sharp quality, even from a great distance.

The lens delivers high resolution and beautiful bokeh across the entire zoom range. Thanks to the Dual Phase Linear Motor, you benefit from fast, precise and quiet autofocus. In combination with Dual I.S. 2 image stabilisation of up to 7 stops, you can photograph and film handheld effortlessly, even at extreme zoom ranges.

For videographers, the lens offers extra functions such as focus breathing suppression and micro-step aperture control, for smooth exposure transitions and professional results.
