Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 IIX body

The Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX is an addition to the popular LUMIX S series. The mirrorless camera delivers incredible photo and video performance in an attractive, compact design. Compared to the LUMIX S5II, the LUMIX S5 IIX goes that little bit further for professional videographers in a sleek, matt black design. The S5 IIX features a 24-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor that lets in plenty of light and ensures razor-sharp images. The sensor, combined with the advanced image processor, delivers outstanding image quality for both photo and video recording.

Reliable autofocus and stabilisation

The renewed image sensor supports hybrid phase-detection autofocus for the first time in the LUMIX line-up. The hybrid autofocus system combines phase detection with contrast detection for fast and reliable focusing. The new system can easily recognise subjects, even in challenging conditions such as low light. Once focus is locked, it continues to track the subject across the screen. Continuous autofocus is also available when zooming in, as are AF micro adjustments.

The LUMIX S5 IIX has significantly improved image stabilisation, so you can also capture stable, powerful shots handheld. Active image stabilisation is very useful in challenging conditions, such as when using a telephoto lens or filming while walking. Active image stabilisation also ensures highly stable videos by optimising horizontal, vertical and rotational correction.

Exceptional video performance

The mirrorless camera offers exceptional video performance comparable to the LUMIX S1H. You can film in 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) at 30fps, and in 4:2:2 C4K/4K at 60fps. You can easily record in High Frame Rate at up to 120 fps and in slow motion at up to 180fps. You can use various colour profiles such as 14+ stop V-Log and V-Gamut. Support for a REAL TIME LUT function allows you to upload colour correction LUTs to an SD card and apply them directly in the camera instead of during post-production.

For true videographers

The S5 IIX goes even further than the S5II when it comes to video. The LUMIX S5IIX is capable of recording 5.8K Apple ProRes and C4K Raw or All-Intra recordings to an SSD or recorder. The camera is compatible with wireless and wired IP streaming and USB tethering. The S5 IIX can record in C4K 30p 4:2:2 10-bit, whereas the S5II records in 4:2:0. 4K S and Q Slowmotion are also recorded on the S5IIX with 4:2:2 chroma subsampling for outstanding colour depth. For professional videographers, functions such as Waveform Monitor, Vector Scope and Zebra Pattern have been added. Features such as System Frequency (24.00Hz) and Synchro Scan also make this camera suitable for professional use.

Excellent photos with minimal workflow

The camera has various options that allow you to create excellent photos with a minimal workflow. Functions such as AWB lock, MF assist and a new Live Crop function ensure a highly refined photography experience. An HDMI type-A and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection provide extensive connectivity options. Thanks to WiFi 5GHz, you can also connect quickly and reliably to smartphones and tablets wirelessly. Dual UHS-II memory card slots ensure you always have enough space.

Panasonic LUMIX DMW-DMS1E Digital Shotgun Microphone – Black

The Panasonic LUMIX DMW-DMS1E is a high-quality digital shotgun microphone for LUMIX mirrorless cameras. This all-in-one microphone is designed for content creators and professionals who want maximum sound quality without complex external recorders or cables. Thanks to the direct hot shoe connection, the microphone is powered and the digital audio signal is sent directly to the camera.

The DMW-DMS1E features a newly developed 10 mm large-diameter microphone array, which delivers clear, directional and natural sound. The internal floating shockmount minimises vibration noise during handheld use, while the included windscreen effectively suppresses wind noise. The advanced wind noise reduction system uses float recording technology, reducing wind noise without compressing the original sound.

With six different directional modes, the microphone adapts to every recording situation. From cardioid and supercardioid for focused speech recordings to stereo and wide stereo for spatial ambience recording. For interviews, there is even a bidirectional mode that clearly captures both the front and rear.

The microphone supports 32-bit float recording (with compatible models), preventing distortion at high sound pressure levels up to approximately 120 dB. In addition, the DMW-DMS1E features a back-up recording function in 4-channel mode, so important audio is always recorded safely.

With a weight of just 100 grams and a compact design, your camera setup remains light and mobile. Physical switches enable quick operation, while the brightness of the direction indicators can be adjusted for use in low light.

Suitable for LUMIX S1II, S1RII, S1IIE, S5II and S5IIX. Firmware update required. Support for GH7 and G9II will follow via future firmware.
