The Panasonic LUMIX DC-TZ99 is a compact travel camera with a 30x optical zoom and a LEICA DC Vario-Elmar zoom lens with a range of 24 to 720mm (35mm equivalent). The 20.3 megapixel MOS sensor with 1/2.3-inch format and the Venus Engine image processor work together to deliver clear and detailed images, even in challenging lighting conditions. The 5-axis Hybrid O.I.S.+ image stabilisation ensures sharp images, even when using the maximum zoom.
The camera features a hybrid autofocus system with DFD technology (Depth from Defocus), face and eye detection, tracking and 49-area AF for fast and accurate focusing in a wide range of situations. The Post Focus function lets you refocus on your desired subject after capturing an image, while Focus Stacking combines multiple images for an optimal focus range, which is especially useful for macro photography. The manual lens ring offers direct control of zoom and focus for extra control.
For video, the TZ99 supports recording in 4K up to 30fps and Full HD up to 60fps. The 4K Photo mode captures the perfect moment by selecting a frame from a video recording at 30fps and saving it as an 8 megapixel image. The tilting 3-inch touchscreen LCD with 1,840k dots tilts up to 180 degrees for selfies and creative shooting angles.
