In addition to creating your own presets, you can also choose to download presets via the LUMIX Lab app. Your shots can be transferred quickly and easily to your smartphone thanks to improved connection speed and stability. This uses a new recording format: MP4 Lite. This is an Open Gate video mode optimised for smartphones. Within 30 seconds, your photo or video is online, exactly the way you want it.

Extend your reach with crop and hybrid zoom

You can extend the zoom range of the Panasonic S9 while maintaining image quality. This is possible with the crop zoom function and the hybrid zoom function. The crop zoom function uses the centre of the camera sensor to extend the normal zoom range. The hybrid zoom function uses both optical and crop zoom to increase the focal length even further.

Designed for the L-mount system, the Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS has an advanced optical construction with 17 lens elements in 11 groups. One UED lens (Ultra Extra-low Dispersion), two ED lenses (Extra-low Dispersion) and one UHR lens (Ultra-High Refractive Index) reduce both axial chromatic aberration in the telephoto position and chromatic aberration in the wide-angle position. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.54m, this lens achieves a maximum magnification of 0.5x, allowing you to capture macro photos and videos up to 50% of actual size. In addition, the 11-blade aperture ensures beautiful, round bokeh.

The Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS is also suitable for video recording thanks to a mechanism that minimises focus breathing and suppresses focus shift while zooming. This keeps your subject sharp at all times. Despite its extensive range, it remains compact and lightweight, and is also resistant to dust, splash water and temperatures down to 10 degrees below zero. The front element has a fluorine coating that repels water and dust, and the filter diameter is 77mm.
