The Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L v2 - Black is a compact, versatile carrying option that can be worn around the waist or as a sling bag. When used as a sling, the padded anti-slip strap can be configured for wear over the right or left shoulder. The 6L Everyday Sling v2 zippered clamshell opening is designed to fit snugly against the body, allowing easy access to the main compartment, with two dividers that can be configured according to the specific equipment being carried. The dividers are foldable and can support curved surfaces, such as the grip of a camera with an attached lens. In use, the foldable dividers improve protection between those curved surfaces and adjacent items while minimising the area between them for more efficient use of space in the main compartment.

Inside the main compartment, the padded sleeve of the 6L Everyday Sling v2 for an 11-inch tablet computer is placed to rest against the carrier. The bag's six compartments are for storing and organising camera batteries, memory cards or small electronics. Along the outside of this bag, a pocket with a zippered opening is built into the front panel that faces away from the wearer. This is a useful space for books, notebooks, documents or snacks. For larger items such as a tripod, monopod, or wrapping clothes, external carrying straps are included to attach such items to the bottom of the 6L Everyday Sling v2.

The 6L Everyday Sling v2 has a durable nylon construction and is built to be weather resistant. The bottom panel is waterproof to offer further protection of the contents when the bag is placed on a wet surface.
