Description
You can use the Phottix Odin II TTL Transmitter Sony to add wireless triggering and control to your flash setup. Compatible with the Sony ADI/P-TTL flash system and equipped with a 2.4 GHz radio transmission system, the Odin II communicates and triggers with receivers or suitable flashes at distances of up to 100 meters. To help users even more, the transmitter can be used in a multi-system setup involving Odin TTL, Strato and Strato II receivers, as well as Mitros+, Indra360 and Indra 500 lamps. An important improvement over the previous model is an expansion of channels and the introduction of the digital ID that provides further control over channels 5-32 to eliminate interference with other systems.
By embracing the TTL communication between the camera and the flash, automatic exposure can easily be realized. More sophisticated users can take advantage of manual on/off and zoom control to set the exact appearance they need. Using the five groups, users can also control different groups and strobes with different settings and TTL and mix and match manual units. All this is easily accessible via the large LCD screen, with direct access buttons for the groups and a rotary knob for quick adjustment of settings.
Additional features include high-speed sync for TTL flash and the patented OverDrive Sync mode for manual studio flash units, enabling both users to work with shutter speeds of up to 1/8000 second. Users can also remotely control the modeling light of their Indra TTL flash units and, if necessary, use an AF assist lamp. It also has a mini-USB port for firmware updates. This model is directly compatible with Sony cameras using the multi interface shoe. Cameras using the older car-lock accessory shoe can use an optional adapter to achieve compatibility.
