The Profoto Softbox 5' Octa is an octagonal softbox with a diameter of 150 cm. Its shape closely resembles a circle, giving you natural, round catchlights in your subject’s eyes. The octagonal shape provides even light fall-off on all sides. The white interior spreads the light evenly, creating natural illumination with less contrast and softer shadows than the silver version.
The softbox features an integrated speedring with an all-in-one mount, allowing you to set it up and fold it down in seconds without separate parts. The included diffuser is removable and interchangeable with the separately available 0.5, 1 and 1.5 f-stop diffusers, so you can determine the softness and intensity of the light yourself. The recessed front distributes the light evenly and, thanks to the Velcro attachment, is suitable for the matching Softgrid 5' Octa and Mask Kit 5' Octa.
The construction is reinforced for stability in larger setups, with four integrated attachment points for safety cables providing extra security when rigging. The clamp mount ensures a secure connection to your light source. The softbox is heat-resistant and compatible with all Profoto flashes and LED lights with a 100 mm mount.
Please note: when used with the ProHead at full power (2400Ws) in combination with 500W continuous light at full power, a recommended maximum of 8 flashes per minute applies to prevent the speedring from becoming too hot to touch.
