The Profoto Connect Nikon is the first remote of Profoto without buttons that integrates your camera with a Profoto flash lamp, making light easier than ever before. The remote has only three settings: automatic, manual and off. In automatic mode you only have to aim and flash for good exposure because the flash power is calculated for you. In manual mode you can adjust the light either manually or via the Profoto App.
The easy-to-use Profoto Connect is intended for photographers who work with 1 flash on location and still want to work off-camera without a menu with various settings. The current remote will continue to exist alongside the Profoto Connect. The Profoto Connect contains 3 settings: Auto (TTL), manual (off). These settings work via the remote control.
The Profoto Connect is set to channel 1 as standard. With the new Profoto App this can be changed to other channels. Setting up groups follows later in the Profoto App. The app is currently available for the IPhone 7 or later, Android will follow for the Profoto Connect later.
Profoto Connect works with a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts 30 hours. The battery can be charged with the supplied USB-C to USB-A charging cable. Profoto Connect works with all Profoto Air systems that are on the market. But most of all, the remote makes working with the beautiful, natural light from Profoto incredibly easy, allowing you to focus on what's really important: taking great photos.
