Description
Pulsar Merger Duo NXP
The Pulsar Merger Duo NXP is an innovative multispectral binocular that combines thermal imaging and digital night vision in a single device, providing enhanced detection and identification capabilities. The Merger Duo NXP captures high-quality images in multiple wavelength spectrums (visible, near infrared and long-wave infrared), making it a truly versatile device for observation at any time of day and in all weather conditions. By using both technologies, Merger Duo makes it easier to locate an object with the thermal imager, assess the terrain with the digital night vision camera and clearly identify every minute feature and detail of the object with the combined viewing modes.
The Merger Duo supports multiple observation modes. The thermal imaging mode is used to detect and observe animals in all weather conditions, while the digital imaging mode provides enhanced target identification in Full HD resolution. Thanks to the "Picture-in-Picture" function, images from both optical channels can be displayed simultaneously, with priority given to either the thermal or the digital image.
The extremely sensitive 640x480 pixel @ 17 µm thermal imaging sensor with a NETD <25 mK enables breathtaking thermal image quality and perfect detail recognition. This also applies in very unfavourable weather conditions where the thermal image contrast is low. This means that even the smallest temperature differences in rain, fog or cold mornings - i.e. under the most difficult conditions for the thermal imaging camera - become clearly visible.
The image produced by the Merger Duo NXP digital night vision channel is characterised by high resolution and high-quality detail processing. Silhouettes, anatomical differences, behavioural characteristics - the high-resolution electronics display the trophy qualities of an animal and give the hunter the information he needs to make a good shooting decision.
The Merger Duo NXP features an attachable, invisible 940nm IR illuminator with adjustable spot positioning. This increases the level of detail from the digital transmitter on pitch-black nights.
Use brightness and contrast settings to maximise image detail and clarity under specific viewing conditions. The "User Mode" function saves selected brightness and contrast settings to the device's memory. This ensures optimal image quality the next time you use the thermal camera, without having to make additional settings.
Pulsar Image Boost gives the Merger Duo thermal camera the highest level of detail, clarity and contrast with a series of innovative image processing algorithms. The Merger Duo multispectral binoculars reproduce complex scenes in a wide range of halftones with uniformly radiating low-contrast objects such as sky, grass and water surfaces. By fine-tuning details and focusing on objects at different distances using software, the thermal image becomes very informative. Manually increasing the sensitivity of the thermal imaging sensor improves the quality of animal detection when observation conditions deteriorate. A flattening filter and a wide range of brightness and contrast settings enable comfortable observation over a longer period of time.
The properties of thermal imaging optics have a decisive influence on the ability of a thermal imaging camera to capture even the lowest radiation levels. With the bright lens of the Merger Duo (F50/1.0) thermal imaging camera in combination with the highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor, maximum detection efficiency is achieved. With the Merger Duo, the user always receives high-quality, detailed and high-contrast, informative images, even in rain or fog, when the temperature contrast in the observed scene is minimal.
