The Rode NTG-5 Shotgun Microphone is a worthy successor to the NTG series, which is rightfully at the top of the list for professional use by film makers and sound engineers. Due to its updated acoustic design, the NTG-5 delivers a beautifully natural sound. Instead of linear holes in the design as with other shotgun microphones, they are now round. If you have worked with NTG microphones before, you will definitely hear the difference.
The microphone weighs only 76 g and is 20.3 cm long. This makes the NTG-5 ideal for recording on location. The times of heavy microphones on your boom pole are over.
