Description
The Samyang 35mm F/1.2 ED AS UMC is a standard lens with manual focus, designed for mirrorless cameras with an APS-C or MFT (MicroFourThirds) sensor. The very large aperture of f/1.2 has a beautiful and impressive bokeh, which smoothly blurs subjects in a beautiful blurry background.
Features of the Samyang 35mm F/1.2 ED AS UMC Sony E
- Very large maximum aperture of f/1.2
- Impressive and beautiful bokeh
- Very sharp photos with a lot of detail
- Suitable for APS-C and MFT sensor cameras
- High-quality lens elements and housing
The optical design obviously uses Samyang's exceptional know-how, the lens Features 9 glass lens elements in 7 groups, including an extra low dispersion (ED) and two a-spherical (ASP). This limits unwanted light scattering to a minimum and delivers a high resolution from centre to corner. This lens is also equipped with Samyang's Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) which optimizes light transmission and prevents flare and ghosting. The Samyang 35mm f/1.2 works on an APS-C camera as a 50mm f/1.2 standard lens. With a full lens opening, this ensures razor-sharp photos with a lot of detail sharpness.
The 9 aperture blades are designed to create an almost round aperture opening to create a very nice bokeh. The housing is made of a very strong aluminium alloy and is very compact and sturdy. Due to the large filter size of 62mm, a maximum amount of light enters the lens to make the best use of the available existing light.
