The Shimoda Backpack Sidecountry 28 Starter Kit - black/white - 520-351 is a bundle consisting of the Sidecountry 28 backpack and a medium-sized Top Loader bag. The Sidecountry is designed for mountain travellers who value "adventure over administration". The backpacks focus on efficient performance in the field, allowing photographers to capture beautiful moments in volatile conditions, landscapes and light, without carrying more weight than necessary.

As part of Shimoda's Side Series collection, the Sidecountry is compatible with Shimoda's Small, Medium or Large Top Loader inserts, allowing users to pack only the camera gear they need, while still leaving plenty of room for essentialële backcountry gear in a slim, lightweight mountain camera backpack.

The system is modular and offers multiple usage scenarios in één package. You can use the modular Top Loader insert for protection in the backpack, use the Top Loader separately as a shoulder bag or sling, or attach it to the belt of the backpack as a waist bag. The system offers a multitude of options to suit a variety of shooting styles and situations.

• Comes with medium-sized Top Loader bag: All Side Series backpacks use our Shimoda Top Loader camera insert system. Top Loaders are available in 3 sizes (S, M, L) and can be used in a backpack as a camera insert or separately as a sling/shoulder bag. They can also be used with the backpack's hip belt as a waist bag. Side Series backpacks can be easily adapted to different shooting scenarios with één modular system.
• Side access: Side Series backpacks have side access to the camera only. The side port provides access to any Shimoda Top Loader insert size (small, medium or large). The side access makes the backpack much lighter while offering quick access to gear.
• Detachable 16-inch padded laptop sleeve: To make the backpack even lighter, the padded sleeve (suitable for a laptop up to 16 inches) is removable. Sidecountry is a minimalist, lightweight backpack for the mountains. The removable sleeve ensures that the bag does not carry extra weight and volume ?in the mountains, but can still protect a laptop when needed.
• Shimoda's signature Capture Straps: Compatible with all brands of camera clips, with the added comfort of padding behind the clip. The straps have a zipped phone pocket for an iPhone Max, plus an expandable accessory pocket for gadgets that can also hold a water bottle. They have hidden guidance for a 2-way radio speaker/microphone, which you can also use for a water hose.
• Lightweight water-repellent recycled material, plus rain cover included: Besides a detachable rain cover for the toughest wet days, the Side Series uses Cordura re/cor RN66 fabric: a durable, lightweight nylon made from recycled pre-consumer waste material that has been recycled into high-quality yarn. The manufacturing process generates 83% less greenhouse gases, uses 82% less energy and 57% less water than comparable nylon textiles.
