The Shimoda Core Unit XXL DV is specially made for the Shimoda Action X70 backpack. The XXL size is designed to carry a mounted super-telephoto lens and protect all the DV equipment you need, with an extra depth of 20 cm, making it ideal for RED or similar film/video cameras, as well as a Canon/Nikon/Sony 600 mm 4.0 lens mounted on a body.

Like all Shimoda Core Units, it is made with high-quality EVA-laminated dividers and sidewalls, a lightweight and versatile removable cover and an aluminium frame for extra rigidity and support. The Core Unit XXL DV will maximise the inner storage of the X70 backpack, so it's a good choice when maximum gear storage is paramount.

Features of the Shimoda Core Unit XXL DV

• Suitable for larger film cameras from RED, Canon and Sony. The extra depth also makes it ideal for packing ready-to-use DSLR or mirrorless video setups, and it can even hold a DJI Mavic drone vertically. Although its origins stem from adventure video needs, it is also excellent for cameras with large super-telephoto lenses such as the Canon/Nikon/Sony 600mm 4.0, mounted on a body with grip.
• The Core Unite XXL DV is built specifically for the Shimoda X70 backpack. It offers a very generous amount of volume for makers who need to pack and protect a large amount of gear. The Core Unit XXL DV will maximise the internal storage of the Action X70 Backpack.
• The Core Unit XXL DV has a unique top zippered access door that allows a camera with an attached 600mm 4.0 camera to be pulled out through the top of the X70 if required.
• The primary function of the included skin is storage and dust cover for the padded Core Units, ideal for when your gear is at home and not in use. It keeps the Core Unit sealed and dust-free. Its secondary function is to be used as a packing cell. A user can fill it with clothes or other ordinary items and pack it in their backpack or roller.
• DV Series Core Units have an additional frame around the edge of the opening. This ensures that the insert retains its shape and does not collapse when carried in the backpack. The frame also adds rigidity and support to both the backpack and the insert, distributing the weight of heavy loads.
