The SmallRig 5198 "HawkLock" Quick Release Cage Kit with Silicone Handle for Sony Alpha 7C II / 7CR is designed to provide an ??optimal shooting experience with comprehensive protection, a comfortable grip and versatile mounting options for your Camera. This kit includes a cage, cable clamp and silicone handle. It features SmallRig's patented "HawkLock" quick release system, which includes a NATO rail and Arca-Swiss quick release plate, ensuring safe and smooth mounting with één click "HawkLock"-compatible optional accessories, such as top handles (SmallRig ID 4483), side handles (SmallRig ID 4485) and quick release mounting plates (SmallRig ID 4486).

The cage features a three-point locking system, which secures the cage with a 1/4"-20 Screw at the bottom and two mounting blocks on both sides, ensuring a snug fit without sagging. Silicone pads on the bottom protect the Camera from scratches. In addition, an articulated arm near the battery compartment improves grip by providing extra support for the little finger. The HDMI cable clamp features a tool-free attachment that secures with the thumb screw on the left side of the cage, ensuring a stable connection for reliable data transfer.

The cage includes several mounting interfaces, including multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and ARRI 3/8"-16 mounting holes, allowing the attachment of optional top handles (SmallRig ID 3765, 4757) or side handles (SmallRig ID 4755, 4840) for improved stability during handheld shooting. The cold shoe attachment can be used to attach DJI MIC II microphones or video lights. The lower 1/4"-20 threaded hole can be used for mounting on desktop tripods or DJI RS stabilisers with a DJI RS Mini quick release plate. The integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate facilitates quick switching between handheld, tripod and stabiliser shooting modes (compatible with DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4 and RS 4 Pro). There is also a QD connector for attaching QD straps, along with strap slots on both sides and the bottom for optional wrist straps (SmallRig ID 3848), shoulder straps (SmallRig ID PSC2428) and other Accessories.

The cage kit also includes a magnetic Allen spanner for easy assembly and disassembly.
