The SmallRig 5259 "Night Eagle" Cage Kit for Nikon Z5II / Z7 / Z6 / Z7II / Z6II / Z5 is designed to offer photographers a comfortable experience shooting from a low angle while providing comprehensive Camera Protection and versatile expansion options. The curved structure, decorated with gold accents, the classic red Nikon logo and vintage leather, gives the cage a distinctive professional look. The kit includes the cage, a top handle, an HDMI and USB-C cable clip and a coldshoe attachment. The included cable clamp ensures secure cable connections for stable data transfer.

Fitted with a detachable coldshoe mount with an anti-twist positioning pin, the mount can be attached to the 1/4"-20 positioning holes on both sides and the top of the cage, allowing optional accessories such as microphones (SmallRig ID 3487) and video lights (SmallRig ID 4660) to be mounted. The included ergonomic Handle ensures smooth camera movements and provides storage space for screws, such as 1/4"-20 screws, 3/8"-16 screws and M2.5 screws.

The kit includes several mounting options, including 1/4"-20 screw holes, 1/4"-20 positioning holes, 3/8"-16 screw holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 positioning holes, a HawkLock quick-release NATO rail, a QD connector and belt slots. These interfaces allow expansion with optional accessories such as monitor brackets (SmallRig ID 2903B), side handles (SmallRig ID 4485, 4016), top handles (SmallRig ID 3765), rod clamps (SmallRig ID 3598), magic arms (SmallRig ID 3875) and tripods (SmallRig ID 4465, 4060). It also features shoulder strap slots to carry the Camera with the lens down to prevent damage.

The bottom features an Arca-Swiss quick release plate for direct mounting on Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro / RS 4 Mini gimbals, allowing quick switching between stabiliser, handheld and tripod setups. For power solutions, it can be combined with V-mount battery plates (SmallRig ID 4505) and V-mount Batteries (SmallRig ID 4608) for longer shooting times.
