The Sony FE 85mm F/1.8 is a short telephoto lens specially designed for the full frame Sony E-series. The maximum aperture of F/1.8 makes the lens ideal for use in poor lighting conditions or when you want to maintain extensive control over the depth of field. This makes the lens ideal for portrait photography, among other things. The lens construction of 9 elements in 8 groups contributes to the reduction of spherical and chromatic aberration. The FE 85mm is equipped with an adjustable focus knob with which you can check the focus in detail. The AF motor, in turn, ensures that this focusing is fast, quiet and smooth.

Although the prime lens is specifically designed for the Sony E-series, it can also be used on APS-C models. Here, the lens offers a 127.5 mm focal length equivalent. Thanks to the rounded 9-blade aperture, you can create a beautiful bokeh effect with this lens. In addition, the design of the lens is compact and light, making it easy to take it anywhere.
