Description
Sony Alpha A1
The Sony A1 is a full-frame mirrorless camera that enables content makers to go in all directions. You don't have to make any compromises with this camera; simply get started with taking high resolution images and impressive 8K video recordings at speed.
No compromise on image quality or speed
The camera has 50.1 megapixels at a maximum of 30 photos per second. The combination of the 50.1 megapixels and the Exmor RS CMOS sensor gives you high resolution and sensitivity with minimum noise and a dynamic range of up to 15 stops. The image processor even delivers higher colour precision than other models.
The high resolution is combined with unbelievable speed. The high read-out speed makes it possible to take continuous burst pictures with AF and AE tracking. This makes the camera ideal for sports and situations where you're tracking the fast-paced action. The EVF is updated at 240 fps, which ensures minimal delay during continuous shooting.
8K video/30p and 4K/120p video in 10-bit
If you're a real video enthusiast, then the Sony A1 is absolutely the right match for you. This camera has the option to record in 8K/30p or in 4K with no less than 120fps in 10-bits. You can also play the 4K recordings up to 5x slower.
Distortion and flickering are a thing of the past
The faster sensor reading negates distortion in your photos when using the electronic shutter. In addition to no more distortion, there's another benefit too. The camera is flicker-free when you use the mechanical and electronic shutters. This results in no flickering of fluorescent or artificial lighting in your stunning action footage.
Special flash functions
The Sony A1 is the Alpha camera that allows flash synchronisation with the electronic shutter, thanks to the high readout speed of the stacked CMOS sensor. In addition, the double-driven shutter system gives a synchronisation speed of 1/400s, so you are even better able to capture dynamic movements and get started with your creativity.
Real-time Eye AF
The Sony A1 has the option of accurately tracking birds' eyes and capturing them on the photo by means of the real-time eye autofocus. This is even possible when the bird is in flight or when you start adjusting the composition.
The eye autofocus for animals has been further developed so you have the opportunity to really focus on various animals' eyes. But that's not all, you can now even do so when the animal is hanging upside down. The existing eye autofocus has also been improved, so that with the A1 you are able to follow human eyes and keep them in focus as you move along. The camera also has the option to set up real-time tracking. You activate this by pressing the shutter button halfway and moving your camera to retain automatic focus. Activate Face/Eye AF in AF and you are also assured of seamless AI tracking of human, animal and bird eyes. The real-time eye-autofocus options can also be used in video recordings.
Settings and menu
Are you someone who films, but also likes to take pictures? Then this camera has something for you. With the Sony A1, you can determine your settings for both photo and video. But in addition, the A1 has a new menu structure especially for professional photographers and videographers, which is more user-friendly and has a touchscreen.
