The Sony PDT-FP1 portable data transmitter (5G+LTE) provides stable, high-speed, professional low-latency transmission of video and still images from Sony cameras. It features a specialised antenna, integrated cooling fan and ample internal memory, with simple and user-friendly operation.
The antenna design is optimised to maximise receive sensitivity, enabling high-speed, low-latency communication over a wide range of bands, including LTE and both 5G Sub6 and mmWave.
With its optimised antenna design and wide variety of compatible communication environments, including both local and private 5G, the PDT-FP1 enables fast and efficient data transmission worldwide. It also supports Dual SIM for transmitting data while automatically switching to a stronger network.
To ensure reliability in challenging environments, the PDT-FP1 features a newly developed cooling fan and channel structure designed for heat dissipation and quiet operation. It effectively prevents thermal shutdown even at temperatures up to 40 degrees, for continuous transmission during shooting.
The PDT-FP1 is equipped with two USB Type-C connectors that support USB PD (Power Delivery). One provides both data communication and charging, the other for charging only. These connectors allow the PDT-FP1 to charge while transferring data, so you can shoot without worrying about battery levels.
The PDT-FP1 offers versatile input interfaces, ensuring fast and stable data communication. In addition to a USB Type-C connection for data transfer, a wired LAN connection can connect to a compatible camera for data transfer, and an HDMI Type A connection is also provided for video data transfer.
Transfer files effortlessly to a designated FTP server or Creators' Cloud by connecting compatible Sony cameras via USB or Ethernet. Once the initial setup is complete, the 'Camera Wired Connection' setting will automatically transfer files without you having to configure settings each time.
The 'Camera Wired Connection' setting provides automatic file delivery to C3 Portal and Ci Media Cloud for improved workflow. Together with the large 6.1-inch display and "Network Visualiser", transfer status can be visibly monitored before and during shooting.
Low latency, low bit rate and live streaming with high image quality are possible with 5G connectivity by using the optional CBK-RPU7 and NXL-ME80 as receivers. Stable livestreaming is also possible with M2 Live Cloud Switcher or C3 Portal or Network RX Station by using XDCAM pocket.
The PDT-FP1 is equipped with 256 GB of internal memory, expandable up to 1 TB with the optional microSD card. This ensures stable data transfer while providing ample storage space.
