Latest technology
The PXW-Z300 features three 1/2-inch Exmor R CMOS sensors, delivering true-to-life colours, high sensitivity and excellent low-light performance. Combined with the powerful BIONZ XR processor, it produces razor-sharp 4K recordings up to 60p, capturing even the smallest details and textures in the scene.
17x optical zoom offers a wide shooting range
Capture everything: from wide-angle interviews in tight spaces to tele close-ups packed with detail. The 17x optical zoom lens offers a wide focal length range of 30.3–515 mm (35mm full-frame equivalent) with a constant maximum aperture of f1.9 throughout the entire zoom range. The digital extender* increases the maximum magnification up to 4x in HD, while image quality remains close to the original. *2x, 3x or 4x magnification in HD. 1.5x in 4K only.
Electronically variable ND filter
The electronically variable ND filter enables quick exposure adjustments without affecting your depth of field.
Advanced AI Processing Unit for AF
Thanks to the built-in AI Processing Unit with Subject Recognition Autofocus, faces and subjects are tracked accurately. This is ideal for news, interviews and dynamic reporting.
Multiple recording format options
The PWX-Z300 offers a wide choice of recording formats for a variety of project requirements, including 4K (60P/50P/30P/25P/24P) and HD (60P/60i/50P/50i/30P/25P/24P) *¹. In addition to MXF recordings in MPEG HD422, XAVC Intra (4K/HD 4:2:2 10bit), XAVC Long (4K 4:2:0 8bit/HD 4:2:2 10bit) and proxy recordings in MP4 *² are also supported.
*¹ Frame rates of 59.94P for 60P, 59.94i for 60i, 29.97P for 30P and 23.98P for 24P have been omitted.*² You can choose from AVC 6Mbps, HEVC 9Mbps or HEVC 16Mbps. HEVC 6Mbps will be supported in the future.
