The Tamron TAMRON-LINK, Model TL-01, is a compact Bluetooth adapter that wirelessly connects your compatible Tamron lens to the Tamron Lens Utility Mobile app on your smartphone. Connect the adapter to the USB-C port on your lens and control focus, aperture and customised lens buttons wirelessly from up to 5 metres away, without cables and without limiting your freedom of movement.
The TAMRON-LINK works with Tamron Lens Utility Mobile version 5.0 and supports both iOS and Android. This allows you to adjust functions such as focus ring rotation direction, focus presets, electronic ring limit and focus transitions for video. You can also set aperture markings and Astro Focus Lock for night photography. The app is available free of charge for iOS 16 or later and Android OS 6.0 or later. Please note: firmware updates for your lens are not possible via the mobile app. For that, use the PC version of Tamron Lens Utility.
The adapter weighs just 2 grams and measures 7.1 x 25.3 x 6.6 mm without connector, so it remains barely visible on your lens. The TAMRON-LINK is compatible with Tamron lenses with a USB-C port that have the required firmware. A firmware update for your lens is required before use. The current compatibility list is available on the Tamron website. The adapter is currently available for use in Japan, the US, Canada, the EU, the UK and China.
