The Tascam CA-XLRd-AN XLR is a microphone adapter for cameras with an analogue input. It is a two-channel microphone adapter for professional stereo sound recording with a CSC/DSLR or other camera with external microphone.With two XLR/TRS inputs, HDDA mic preamp and A/D converter, interchangeable camera shoe (Ca/AN). This allows you to record professional high-quality sound with an SLR or other camera using external microphones. 

There are two XLR/TRS inputs. The powerful A/D sends the audio signals directly to the camera through the accessory shoe. There is a built-in HDDA microphone amplifier from Tascam for the best sound quality. There is little noise, but a large dynamic range. The audio signal is recorded along with the video signal, eliminating the need for subsequent synchronization and reducing post-production time.

Two XLR/TRS inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo mini input are available for virtually any dynamic or condenser microphone, shotgun, lavalier or other microphone or line level signal. The CA-XLR2d is ready for all your shooting and filming needs.

The CA-XLR2d guarantees pure, noise-free and professional sound at 16 or 24 bit resolution and sampling rates of 48 kHz or 96 kHz. The built-in audio editing functions such as auto level and low-cut filter are accessible via convenient switches.

If your camera's hot shoe cannot handle a digital audio signal or supply power to the Tascam microphone adapter, the CA-XLR2d-AN is suitable for use with virtually any camera that has an analogue audio input. Attach the supplied battery box (which takes two AA batteries) and connect the analogue output of the CA-XLR2d to the microphone or audio input of the camera using the supplied stereo audio cable. This way you can take advantage of the high-quality microphone preamps and audio editing functions, and significantly improve the sound of your video recordings.
