The Tascam FR-AV2 audio recorder is a compact feature-packed audio recorder for filmmakers that combines advanced 32-bit floating point technology with time code generation and synchronisation. It not only provides a significantly enhanced audio experience, but also simplifies the entire process from recording to editing. The recorder can be synchronised with industry-standard video equipment without the need for an external timecode device. For wireless monitoring, an optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter is available.

Dual analogue-to-digital converter technology captures recordings with greater dynamic range and clarity, so you can take conversations to the next level without disturbing changes in tone or dynamics. The FR-AV2's dual Ultra HDDA preamps have an input noise level of just -127 dBu, allowing you to record microphones and professional line-level sources with maximum clarity and virtually no noise.

Thanks to the 3.5 mm stereo input, you can use wireless microphones, lavalier microphones and other sound sources. The FR-AV2 simplifies your video equipment and reduces the equipment you need for recording. The recorder sends and receives timecode to DSLR cameras via 3.5mm input/output and also supports Jam synchronisation with any external timecode device.

You can also wirelessly sync timecode with supported Atomos UltraSync Blue devices using the optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter. Add the optional AT-BT2 Bluetooth adapter to wirelessly monitor audio on the go. Choose one of three quality levels to get the best signal depending on your recording environment, including connection quality, audio quality and latency.
