The Vanguard Endeavor HD 65A spotting scope combines a nitrogen-filled magnesium housing and a fully multi-coated optical path to create well-equipped zoom optics for medium- to long-range observation. Vanguard gave the Endeavor HD series an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens system and phase-corrected BAK4 prisms, which maximise light transmission and produce colour-fidelity images rich in contrast.
This version of the Endeavor HD spotting scope includes a 15-45x zoom eyepiece with a rubber zoom knob. A zoom ratio of 1:3 and a viewing angle of 2.7-1.3° complement the eyepiece's long eye relief of 19 mm and rubber eyecup, which help provide extra viewing comfort for prolonged observations.
In addition to its image quality and weatherproof construction, the Endeavor HD includes several features that enhance the scope's functionality. A stacked dual-focus mechanism allows the observer to make fine and coarse focus adjustments. The tripod mounting base has a standard 1/4"-20 connection and is compatible with Vanguard tripods that accept the universal mounting shoe. An integrated lens hood and the included custom-made carrying case help make the Endeavor HD a fully-fledged spotting scope for outdoor use.
