Competent budget binoculars.
The sweet spot of perfect focus on these is smaller than I had hoped. Low light performance is good. In terms of use and ergonomics, these binoculars are unremarkable, they neither surprise nor disappoint. The case, strap, lens caps etc, all work well and are good quality and fit. When I bought these, a friend bought the 8x42 Diamondbacks. Compared side-by-side, the larger binoculars perform much better, not just in low-light performance - which is to be expected - but in a much bigger sweet spot. The 8x42s are near edge-to-edge sharp, not something the 32s can claim. Does this matter? Personally, I find the lack of edge clarity irritating. However, these binoculars were bought for my daughter and she’s delighted with them!
Description
The Vortex Diamondback HD 8x32 Binoculars are the ideal binoculars for travellers. Thanks to the HD Optical System and a 142metre field of view, you can easily follow moving objects. An object in the distance is magnified as much as 8x, as if you were standing close to it. If you are closer to the object, you can see sharply with the help of the 1.5-metre close focus. Thanks to the phase correction coatings on the lenses, the image is rich in contrast, making the colours bright and clear. And the anti-reflective coatings reduce reflections. This means that you can still see well in strong sunlight! Thanks to the light weight of the binoculars, 451 grams, you can easily and comfortably take them with you wherever you go.
