With the Westcott S18 Mini Flash, you can easily add extra light when the available light is not sufficient. This mini flash is designed as a compact and user-friendly solution for photographers looking for a small, lightweight flash that works directly on the camera. Thanks to its pocket-sized design, you can easily take it with you in your camera bag or even in your coat pocket.
The S18 Mini Flash has a power output of 18 Ws and a guide number of GN16 at ISO 100. This gives it more light output than the built-in flash of many cameras, making it suitable for situations in which your subject needs extra illumination. The flash head is tiltable from -3° to 72°, so you can use both direct fill light and indirect bounce light for a softer and more natural result. For more control over your exposure, this flash features 19 manual power levels across a 7-stop range, in fine increments of 0.3. This allows you to adjust the flash power more precisely to your subject and surroundings. The recycle time of 0.01 to 2.5 seconds also helps you to be ready quickly for the next shot.
The built-in 3.7V 1250mAh lithium battery is charged via USB-C. This means you do not need loose disposable batteries and you can take up to 500 flashes at full power on a single charge. The Westcott S18 Mini Flash is equipped with a universal single-pin hot shoe and works with most cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic Lumix, Olympus and Leica, as long as the hot shoe has a centre contact.
