The Mitakon Zhongyi 50mm is designed for full-frame EF/PL cinema cameras. Thanks to its ultra-fast T1 aperture and short focusing distance, the lens can produce a refined bokeh. The circular aperture mechanism with 9 blades contributes to a pleasant round bokeh when the aperture is open. By perfectly separating the subject from the background, the lenses can create a look that is unmatched.
The ultra-fast T1 aperture also makes it possible to shoot in low light. The 50 mm has a relatively large form factor with its full frame coverage. The colour contrast and sharpness of the images are much better defined than other lenses with similar specifications and price range. The T1.0 lenses offer a pleasant rendering of a cinematic look.
