This 50mm is designed for Nikon Z APS-C/DX cameras. That gives you a field of view comparable to 75mm on full frame, a classic look for portraits and tighter detail shots.
The bright f/1.2 maximum aperture helps in low light and makes it easy to create a shallow depth of field. An 11-blade diaphragm supports a smooth-looking background blur.
Because it’s fully manual, you set the pace. It’s also a practical choice for video when you want to do your own focus pulls.
You can focus down to 0.7 m, use 55mm front filters, and there’s no image stabilization.
