The Canon EF 600mm F4.0 L IS USM III is often used for sports and wildlife and is a Canon L-series super telelens that stands out for its advanced, lightweight design, fast and intuitive operation and high-speed performance. With fluorite, Super UD and aspherical elements, both chromatic and spherical aberrations are kept to a minimum to achieve sharp, clear image quality with accurate rendering and color accuracy. Super Spectra and Air Sphere Coatings contribute to color accuracy and help control glare and ghosting when working in backlight and under harsh lighting conditions.
In addition to the optical benefits, the 600 mm f / 4 is also characterized by its advanced five-stop effective Image Stabilizer system, which has three separate stabilization modes for different shooting applications. Complementing the handling is an advanced ring-type USM that provides fast, silent and accurate autofocus performance, along with permanent manual overrunning. A customizable electronic focusing ring further contributes to precise manual focus by offering three focusing sensitivity levels for different applications. Moreover, this lens is suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions and has a removable rotating tripod collar that benefits working on a tripod or monopod.
