Dual Nano USM motors ensure fast, smooth and near-silent AF. In addition, a group of floating lens elements improves versatility with a minimum focus distance of just 90cm. Canon Extender RF 1.4x

The Canon Extender RF 1.4x is for photographers who want more zoom range with their RF lenses. Ideal for sports, nature and press photographers, as it extends the focal length by 1.4x. The extender features high refraction and low dispersion glass to control the field curvature and chromatic aberration of magnification for the highest image quality.

In addition to optimised lens coatings, a three-layer combined lens helps reduce ghosting by reducing the surfaces in contact with the air as much as possible. The exterior is covered with a white heat shield coating, as used on several quality telephoto lenses, to prevent deterioration in high-temperature performance. In addition, the extender is designed for reliability and durability with shock, dust and water resistance for use by professionals and high-end amateurs. A special mechanism prevents the lens elements from touching those of the extender

The RF adapter is compatible with various prime telephoto lenses. You can also use it with the zoom lens RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1L IS USM, but only within the zoom range 300 to 500mm. This results in an enlarged focal length of 420 to 700mm.
