Shoot with a fully open aperture to create a striking rainbow flare, or stop down to minimise flares. The focus of these APO Mini Prime lenses is sharp but not rigid, resulting in a softer look. With an average weight of just over 450 grams, the APO Mini prime lenses are among the lightest and most compact cine lenses available, ideal!
The APO Mini series utilises an apochromatic (APO) design to help eliminate the effects of in-focus and out-of-focus colour fringing when working with a fully open aperture. This design also ensures that the colour of the image remains pure and natural, which is especially important in scenes where the subject needs to have precise edges, such as in blue and green screen keying.
The Dulens Mini Prime offers filmmakers a new creative option. Thanks to an innovative coating, the lenses have a lower contrast value and an authentic vintage look, with a beautiful rainbow glow at full aperture.
