The DZOFILM Vespid 2 is the most compact T1.9 Vista Vision prime lens set on the market, consisting of the 18mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 105mm. Vespid 2 features a completely redesigned optical design with a constant T1.9 aperture across the entire series. Vespid 2 utilises self-developed, latest-generation aspherical elements, polished with the highest precision and combined with multi-layer nano-coatings and specially calibrated coating formulas to minimise reflections and suppress stray light.

The result is excellent resolution with a clean and pure image, rich details and textures, and razor-sharp image reproduction with controlled contrast. This makes the lenses suitable for a wide range of creative requirements, from commercial to artistic applications. The optimised construction and precision coatings ensure consistent colour reproduction across all focal lengths, enabling seamless integration into all production and post-production workflows. Ideal for projects ranging from advertising, film and television productions to individual creative projects.

Refined optics for unrivalled image quality

The new Vespid 2 takes resolution to the next level to meet the most demanding requirements for sharpness and blur. The redesigned optical system suppresses chromatic aberration and delivers pure, natural skin tones, while a ten-blade diaphragm with a linear aperture scale ensures refined, expressive bokeh in every frame. Improved distortion control across the entire range (from 18mm ultra-wide angle to 105mm telephoto) ensures stable, consistent images in multi-camera setups or complex shooting situations, minimises post-production work and delivers a consistent and precise final result.

The lens covers the full spectrum from wide angle to medium telephoto and supports sensors up to 46.5 mm, including RED V-Raptor VV, ARRI Alexa LF, Sony Venice and other large-format systems. In many situations, coverage is also extended to medium format systems such as the Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 and Fujifilm GFX Eterna, delivering high-resolution performance for full-frame cinema while supporting selected medium format workflows.

Minimal lens breathing ensures smooth transitions and stable framing without the need for systematic correction. This delivers an immersive cinematic experience, whether you're shooting handheld, monitoring on set, previewing in post-production or working in virtual production.

Cooke /i Real-Time Communication

Vespid 2 has the Cooke /i protocol in its small housing and works well with ARRI, RED, Blackmagic, Sony, and Canon film cameras. Lens data such as focal length, T-stop, and focus distance are automatically stored and displayed in real time, reducing manual input errors. Equipped with a 5-pin LEMO connector, it will support wireless follow-focus systems and a wide range of professional cine accessories in the future. This enables quick integration in films, commercials and short-form productions.

Weighing only approximately 800 g, each Vespid 2 lens combines a front diameter of 80 mm with a length of 80 mm, making it the most compact Vista Vision high-speed prime with PL mount.

Designed for compact setups, it works effortlessly with the DJI Ronin 4D, gimbals, handheld rigs, sliders and drones. Its balanced construction allows for quick switching between platforms, offering both portability and precise control, giving filmmakers smooth creative control.
