The Elinchrom ELB 500 TTL Off-Camera Flash Kit is put together for photographers who need a small form factor, low weight and superior performance, supported by the convenience of TTL exposure control. The kit includes a 500W ELB500 TTL package with a lithium-ion battery, charger and sync cable. An ELB 500 flash head with 2.4-metre cable, a 7" Q-reflector, a Snappy carrying bag with shoulder strap and a sturdy, nylon ProTec location bag with protective rain cover are also included.

Elinchrom enters the TTL arena with the introduction of the ELB 500 TTL battery-powered package. The ELB 500 measures 16.26 x 18.08 x 9.14 cm and weighs just 2.5 kg with the included battery. Ideal for the travelling or location photographer shooting fashion, portraits or editorial work. Using an optional Elinchrom Skyport Pro or the Phottix Odin II transmitter, the ELB 500 TTL significantly reduces setup delays, reducing the time between inspiration and execution by using your camera's flash lighting system. With asymmetrical power distribution over 7 stops to 2 ELB flash heads, photographers can adjust TTL power at distances of 328 to 656', depending on the transmitter they use. There is also a manual lock mode that allows you to get an initial TTL exposure lock and then switch to manual mode to fine-tune the exposure.

Although the ELB 500 TTL delivers about 10 times more power than a speedlite, it has features you would only find on an advanced on-camera flash. For example, the package is compatible with High Speed ??Sync, allowing you to trigger it at shutter speeds as low as 1/8000 second to control background brightness, freeze action or use large apertures.

These advanced exposure functions are backed by solid performance specifications. Recycle is a very fast 0.05 to 2 seconds and flash duration is 1/3400 sec in normal mode. There is also an action mode with a flash duration of just 1/20,000 sec - ideal for freezing water spray, splashes and other effects.

The ELB 500 is powered by a removable lithium-ion battery that, when fully charged, allows 400 flashes at full power and as many as 28,000 flashes at minimum power. Convenient features include Active Charging, which allows you to charge the battery while shooting on mains power, for an uninterrupted workflow. Power, performance and TTL exposure control make the ELB 500 TTL hard to beat.
