The Fujifilm GF 55 mm F/1.7 R WR is a weatherproof prime lens with a large maximum aperture of F/1.7. This addition to the GFX series has been designed with a focus on achieving the highest image quality. The GF 55 mm F/1.7 R WR has an optical construction consisting of 14 lens elements distributed over 10 groups. Among the 14 elements are two ED elements and two aspherical elements that combine for impressively high image resolution and a nice, soft bokeh effect. This, together with the large image sensor in the camera, results in stunning shots of the highest quality.
The field of view of this lens is close to that of the human field of view, offering a natural perspective. Further, the 55 mm focal length matches the cross-sectional area of the image sensor in the GFX, enhancing the synergy between the lens and the camera.
