The Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR II is the successor to the Mark I and ideal for both photographers and videographers looking for a versatile lens. With a zoom range of 16-55mm, this lens is suitable for wide-angle to portrait photography. The constant aperture of f/2.8 ensures that the lens performs well under different lighting conditions. Compared to its predecessor, this model is lighter, faster, sharper and offers advanced features that help you take great shots.
The lens is composed of 11 groups with 16 elements, including 4 aspherical, 1 Super ED and 3 ED lenses. This design reduces aberrations, ghosting and flare, resulting in images with better contrast and true-to-life colors. The constant aperture of f/2.8 throughout the entire zoom range ensures sharp images with beautiful bokeh.
Thanks to the “Aperture Click Switch,” you can easily switch between stepless aperture control (ideal for video) and incremental control (suitable for photography). This makes operation smooth and ensures smooth video shooting. In addition, focus breathing is limited, which is especially noticeable when using cameras such as the Fujifilm X-H2S, X-H2, X-T5, X-S20 or the X-T50.
The fast, silent and accurate autofocus allows you to focus within 0.02 seconds, so you won't miss a single shot. The lens is also resistant to dust, water and cold temperatures, thanks to seals at 12 points. The fluorine coating on the front element makes the lens less susceptible to smudges and drops.
