The Fujifilm XF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR is a powerful super-telephoto lens from the X-series, designed specifically for photographers and videographers focusing on sports, action and nature photography. With a focal length of 500mm and a crop factor of 1.52x on Fujifilm cameras, this lens offers an effective focal length of a whopping 762mm on a full-frame camera. This allows you to effortlessly capture distant subjects such as wildlife or athletes in the field.
The f/5.6 aperture makes it easy to shoot in low light, such as during the golden hour in the early morning or late evening. If the 500mm is not enough, you can expand the focal length further with a 1.4x or 2.0x teleconverter. This will take you to 700mm and 1000mm on an APS-C camera, or 1067mm and 1524mm on a full-frame equivalent, respectively.
The lens has an optical design of 21 elements in 14 groups, with five ED elements and two Super ED elements. This ensures minimal chromatic aberrations and razor-sharp images, even in the smallest details. The 5.5-stop optical image stabilization helps you capture sharp images even when shooting manually without a tripod.
