Description
The Fujinon MKX 50-135mm T2.9 X-Mount Cine is a lightweight, cine -style zoom lens for X-mount cameras with a Super 35mm sensor. The electrical contacts within the lens mounts enable communication with X-series cameras. It has a mechanical design with three independent lens control rings: focus, iris and zoom. Each ring has a cinematographic wheel with a 0.8 MOD for connection to standard cinematographic lens accessories. The focus ring has a rotation of about 200°, which gives space or precise focus, and the iris is click-free, so that the iris can be pulled smoothly. The lens also has a macro mode for precise focus capabilities.
The lens is color-coordinated with other Fujinon lenses, such as the HK, ZK and XK series, allowing a smooth interlayer between lenses. The front of 85 mm allows the use of many cine-like matte boxes via optional upright rings (rings not included). The lens weighs only 0.98 kilos, which is fairly light for a zoom lens with focus and aperture over the entire focal length range. It is designed for cameras with a Fuji X mount, so it has a short flange focal length, but with the lens you can adjust the flange focal distance so that you can tune it to the camera you are using the lens on.
