The filter reduces light transmission in the area of the spectrum associated with light pollution. The Holy Starscape provides brighter images with natural colours and better contrast.
Other filters can cause colour shift, especially when used with wide-angle or super-wide-angle lenses. Thanks to a special glass formula, this is not the case with the Hoya Starscape. The Hoya Starscape filter is very useful when taking time-lapse shots.
