However, this colour filter can also be used with colour films to produce special colour effects. To prevent effects such as ghosting and reflections, each glass surface has three layers of anti-reflection coating. These coatings therefore offer better protection and help keep the filter clean for longer. This Hoya 58mm X1 colour filter is made of optical glass for optimum clarity and it has an aluminium alloy filter ring, making it both durable and lightweight.
