The Hoya 77mm Digital Filter Kit II (3 filters) contains a UV filter, a polarization filter and an ND filter. The UV filter blocks unwanted radiation with a wavelength shorter than 350nm. This allows you to remove excess blue, especially when shooting in the mountains or on the banks of large water surfaces. To reduce the chance of unwanted glare, special coatings have been applied to both sides of the filter glass. This allows you to reduce reflection loss and increase light transmission to 97%. This filter also protects the front lens of the lens against the external environment and can be worn constantly on the lens.
The polarization filter has a circular polarization. It therefore has no influence on the autofocus system of modern cameras. This allows you to remove unwanted glare from non-metallic or painted surfaces to make transparent water or glass. This allows you to make the sky bluish and emphasize clouds or increase the saturation and contrast of the frame. Think, for example, of wet foliage. The narrow frame makes it possible to mount the UV filter on top of the polarization filter.
With the ND filter (neutral density) you can reduce the brightness of the transmitted light 8 times. It is used to make photos creative. For example, the fast moving water in the photo will look like milk. It can also be used for shooting with the maximum open aperture on a sunny day. The filter permeability is 12.5%, the density is 0.9.
