The Hoya 77mm HDX Polarization Filter is a professional polarization filter. The filter has eight layers of coating on each side. This leads to a high light transmission. A polarization filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering light that is polarized by reflection from a non-metallic surface. A polarization filter controls and filters directionally polarized light perpendicular to the reflected light, so that much of this light is absorbed. This results in a noticeable reduction in glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in saturation of skies and foliage.
