The Irix Cine Lens 11mm T4.3 is a wide-angle lens with an image circle of 43.3mm. The lens has a fixed focal length of 11mm. Although it looks like a fish-eye lens, it is a wide-angle lens. With this lens you can create a wide-angle of 123 degrees in a 2.39:1 widescreen format. The minimum focusing distance is 27 centimeters measured from the sensor. This lens has been specially developed for film purposes. A lens hood is included to prevent flares and light if you don't want to work with a matte box.
The lens has a metal housing and 16 optical elements. Of these, 4 are high refractive, three with aspherecal layer and 2 low dispersion elements. These coatings provide crisp images up to 8K with minimal aberrations and aberrations. The lens weighs approximately 1 kilo.
The diaphragm ring has a 75-degree stroke and consists of 9 diaphragm blades. The focus ring has a throw of 180 degrees and is equipped with an 8 pitch gear for a follow focus. Next to the focus ring is an adaptive ring. You can rotate this to give your follow focus more space. This works especially well with electronic follow focus systems.
