The JJC Tamron Lens hood AB003 is a handy silicone lens hood that can replace the Tamron AB003 lens hood. A lens hood prevents oblique light entering the front lens and associated aperture spots and flare. The latter causes loss of contrast and incorrect light metering. A lens hood prevents unpleasant reflections on your lenses and filters, which can cause faded colours in your photos. In addition, a lens hood provides extra protection for your front lens. The AB003 lens hood blocks light in the right places, without narrowing your image.
