The half-frame ND64 is a neutral density filter that reduces light output by 6 stops, ideal when shooting with long shutter speeds, to control the exposure time of a scene at the moment of capture. The neutral density filter affects the amount of light that reaches the sensor.
Neutral density filters do not affect the colours in your photo, making it easier to work with a longer shutter speed or an open aperture. In addition, Kase filters have precise IR coatings, which ensure a true neutral colour within a captured image, without the colour cast normally associated with long exposure photography.
Weighing just 3.3 grams, this compact filter is made from B270 optical glass and features the usual high-quality Kase nano coatings, so you can be sure of image quality. installation is simple, and once installed, the filter provides additional protection to the camera sensor when changing lenses in the field.
