The magnetic Kase Wolverine 95mm Black Mist 1/4 effect filter is a kind of soft focus filter. It gives a special effect to your photos and video, where the dark tones are protected against this effect. The filter normally looks like clear glass, but when you look more closely you see that the glass is diffuse, with small dark or black dots in it.
These dots ensure the preservation of the contrast while making the highlights diffuse. The effect of the Black Mist filter is very small and is determined by the amount of highlights in your photo. If you have very even light, you will hardly notice it, but the more bright light sources you get in the picture, the more visible the effect becomes. It is like a kind of mist that comes over the photo, without affecting the sharpness of the photo.
