Venus Optics LAOWA 12 mm f/2.8 Zero-D Lens for Canon RF

The Venus Optics Laowa 12 mm f/2.8 Zero-D for Canon RF is an ultra wide-angle fixed focal length lens in a rectilinear design, specifically developed to counteract distortion. As a result, straight lines are also displayed straight on the shot, so this lens is perfect for use in for example landscape or architectural photography. The lens comprises 16 elements in 10 groups, including two aspherical lens elements and three extra-low dispersion lens elements. As a result, spherical and chromatic aberrations are kept to a minimum, resulting in better sharpness and reduced colour grading. The front lens element has a dust- and water-repellent coating, which gives your lens extra protection when working in bad weather conditions. This lens is suitable for full-frame DLSR cameras, but can also be used in combination with APS-C cameras.

The Venus Optics Laowa 12 mm F/2.8 Zero-D is a highly accurate manual focus lens, which is equipped with a floating optic for a consistent and accurate reproduction of the image over the entire focus range, from 18 centimetres to infinity. The lens also has a built-in tulip-shaped lens hood, which prevents lens flares and ghosting when working under conditions with bright light. The lens has a compact design and weighs only 609 grams, making the lens easy to take with you on trips. This makes the lens very complete and versatile for photographing landscapes and architecture.
